A Story Decades in the Making
Advanced Correction Chiropractic opened its doors in Albury more than 20 years ago with a focus on evidence-informed chiropractic care and a commitment to the long-term health of its patients. From the very beginning, the clinic was built around a philosophy that health is not just the absence of pain — it is the ability to live, move, and function at your full potential. That philosophy has shaped every decision we have made since.

Over time, ACC grew into something more than a chiropractic clinic. As demand for care increased and our understanding of what patients needed deepened, we expanded to include Remedial massage, Bowen therapy, Myotherapy, and Rehabilitation services. We established an on-site gym through our partnership with Redefined Strength and Fitness, and invested in in-house imaging capabilities that are rare for a clinic of our type in regional Australia. The result is a multidisciplinary network where patients can access most of the care they need without the inconvenience of travelling between multiple providers.

Our second location on High Street in Wodonga brought our services to even more of the community and added a full imaging suite—including our Esaote G-Scan MRI—to serve patients who need advanced musculoskeletal imaging close to home. Ultrasound and CT services are coming soon, further expanding what we can offer without referrals to distant facilities.

What makes ACC genuinely different is the people who make up our team. Our admin staff have been our rock for more years than we can count. Our remedial masseurs — Greg, Lloyd, and Bee Fern — have each been part of the ACC family for over 24 years, with Pauline and Nathan of Redefined Strength and Fitness and Ricki Winning of Winning Bowen Therapy adding depth and breadth to the services on offer. Our chiropractors bring a combined century of clinical experience. That kind of stability and loyalty does not happen by accident. It is the product of a culture that values people — both the patients who walk through our doors and the practitioners who care for them.
Our Approach
At ACC, chiropractic care sits at the heart of everything we do. The spine is not simply a stack of bones — it is the structural and neurological foundation of the entire body. When spinal function is compromised, whether through injury, poor posture, repetitive strain, or the accumulated stress of daily life, it can affect far more than just the area that hurts. Our chiropractic team works to identify and address the underlying cause of a patient's presentation, not simply manage their symptoms.

We use evidence-informed assessment and adjustment techniques, with a particular focus on the Thompson Technique — a precision-based, low-force method that our principal chiropractor, Dr Charles Kathopoulis, has practised and lectured in for decades. Our adjustments are gentle, specific, and adapted to each patient's individual needs, age, and health history.

Beyond pain relief, we believe in the value of maintenance and wellness care. Many of our long-term patients come in monthly or quarterly, not because they are in pain, but because they have experienced how regular chiropractic care supports their energy, posture, mobility, and overall sense of wellbeing. This is the longer-term vision we hold for every patient — not just getting them out of pain, but helping them stay at their best.

Our allied health services — Massage, Bowen therapy, Myotherapy, and Rehabilitation — are not separate offerings. They are an integrated part of our approach. Tight muscles, restricted fascia, and deconditioning all influence spinal health and recovery. By working across these disciplines as a coordinated team, we can support patients more fully and achieve outcomes that any single modality alone would struggle to reach.
Our Community
ACC has always been more than a clinic. We are part of the Albury-Wodonga community, and we take that responsibility seriously. For many years we have proudly supported local sporting clubs and community groups, including the Wodonga Saints Football and Netball Club, the Wodonga Diamonds Soccer Club, Wodonga Field and Game, and the SSAA Wodonga Clay Target Club.

These partnerships reflect our values. The Albury-Wodonga region is where we live and work.

Supporting local clubs, showing up at community events, and investing in the health of our neighbours is not just good for business — it is what being a good community member looks like. We are proud of the trust that local families, athletes, and community groups have placed in us, and we work hard every day to be worthy of it.

What we do

At Advanced Correction Chiropractic, our services are not a menu to pick from — they are an integrated approach to health built around your individual needs. Chiropractic care forms the foundation of what we do, and our allied health services — massage, Bowen therapy, myotherapy, rehabilitation, and in-house imaging — exist to complement and deepen the care we provide. Whether you are coming in for the first time with a sore back or continuing a long-term wellness plan, you will find a team and a set of services that work together on your behalf.
